Following Thursday’s bruising defeat in Bucharest, the Dons are faced with a swift return to domestic action as we welcome Falkirk to Pittodrie this afternoon.

The 5-2 aggregate loss to FCSB, leaves the Dons with just one win from our opening 5 games of the campaign and the immediate objective for Jimmy Thelin's side is clear: secure our first three points of the season and provide a much-needed morale boost for a team and a fanbase that are both beginning to feel the strain.

Ultimately, our game in Bucharest was spoiled by the penalty decision & sending off of Alexander Jensen for a handball that never was. Having been well in the game on Thursday up to that point, it’s another “what if” from our recent European past - for one, I am convinced that had we got to 0-0 at half-time, we’d have gone on to progress from the tie.
